#theyearinbooks May

Even though April was a mad month with extra clients, the Easter holidays and a blog conference I managed to read two books! Well one and a half.

I pledge to finish Life After Life by Kate Atkinson which I started as an extra book in March. I totally loved this book and its concept. You must add it your must read list.

I was then either going to read The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion if my reservation from the library came in or The Lemon Tree by Helen Forrester. Luckily the book was available as I finished Life After Life and I am so glad it did.

It’s not a very long book I read it in two days though one involved a long train journey. It’s a love story but very funny in places and touching. Just read it.

In May I plan to read the Pink Suit by Nicole Mary Kelby it is not out until June but I have been sent a review copy so once I have read that I will write a full review. It’s based on the true story behind Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis iconic pink suit.

My second book is The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey I have seen people rave about it so I am looking forward to that.

What are you reading?

  1. I loved "Life after life", although it took me a while to get used to the sudden changes. Maybe this was because I was listening to the audio version, where turning back pages is not so trivial. I also enjoyed the "Snow child". Enjoy "the pink suit", I'll be interested to hear all about it next month.

  2. Hmm, I look forward to your review of the Pink Suit - sounds fascinating!

  3. The Snow Child looks really interesting!
